UPDATE!!!!

Ok ~ so, it's been nearly a year since my last post. So, I have a lot of catching up to do. Let me just give ya a month by month run down of events for the past year.

July 07 - wedding - it was so nice to see everyone. I can't believe it's all most been one year. Wow, time has flown by!

August 07 - school started back and I got really busy

October 07 - traveled a lot! During the first weekend, we went to Chicago for Keven and Riann's wedding. We also had a little time to sight see. One evening we went out with Jenny and Pat. We really had a great time and wish we could go back sometime soon. The second weekend of October was Cathy and Frank's wedding in Kansas City. Jim was an usher and I read a prayer. It was a lovely wedding. We are so happy for Cathy and Frank! Now, all of the Heiser kids are married.

November 07 - not much happened - Thanksgiving - went to Doniphan with the family. We brought Jim's mom and dad along with us. They enjoyed themselves as well. They even got to meet the infamous Granny. Bless her heart, now she is in a nursing home and not very happy.

December 07 - Christmas - Dad broke his leg on December 23rd. He was rabit hunting in Doniphan before our Christmas dinner. We were all most to Grandma's house when we got a call from the hospital. He was able to come home and eat dinner with the family. However, the day after Christmas, he had to go to Cape to see the bone doc. He ended up with a nice camo cast for 6 weeks. He could not walk on the cast. He basically had an extended Christmas vacation. Now, the cast is off and he is doing much better. However, he still has pain and swelling if he is on his feet all day.

January and February 08-Spent new year's with Matt, Sam, and Chad. We had fun playing cards all night. ;) We also decided to buy a house in January! We drove by it on the 1st and thought it was cute. A few days later, we looked at it and decided to sign a contract on it. If you're into numerology, this one's for you.... So, we signed the contract on January 7, signed final papers on February 7, and the address is 700 Davis (not to mention we were married on 7-7-07). Enough 7's for ya?! We were able to move in rather quickly because of the snow and ice. Yes, sounds odd. But, since I was out of school A LOT for snow, we were able to work on the house during the week. We moved into the new house by March 1st.

March and April 08- This year at Easter, I joined the Catholic Church and received my first communion. This was a hard decision for me to make. When I first started dating Jim, I thought there's no way I can marry this man. He's Catholic! But, about a year ago, I just knew joining the church was the right thing for me to do. I truly am blessed to be a member of Christ's first church.

May 08 - We made a lot of trips to Memphis during the month of May. Janie said that she's seen us more in the month of May than she has all year. Elissa asked me to be her confirmation sponsor, so, we made two trips down to Memphis for that, one of which coincided with her birthday. We went out to dinner with Elissa and her friends. We also followed her limo down town. It was such a nice weekend. The following weekend we were able to go to Memphis In May. It was rainy, muddy, and cold. I don't think we enjoyed it as much as we thought we would. Oh well, it was still a fun experience!

June 08 - One of the trips to Memphis was for an ear doctor appointment. I found out that I have a massive infection in my right ear and in the bone surrounding the ear. So, I will be going back to Memphis on June 25th for surgery. The surgery will be to remove scar tissue, repair a hole in the eardrum, and remove as much of the infection as possible.

I will try to update this blog more frequently. I promise!
